swim – bike – run in Hamburg

Last weekend around 300000 enthusiastic spectators gathered in downtown Hamburg to see amateurs and professionals practicing their sport, triathlon. Because of of my vacation I was only there on Sunday. The first 7 so-called "everyman" (but there were women there) started swimming at 50 a.m. - and then another 10 started every 50 minutes. In the afternoon the pros took a slightly different route. The distances were always the same: 1,5 km swimming in the Inner Alster, 40 km cycling and 10 km running through Hamburg. The best amateurs were only three quarters of an hour slower than the pros. A fantastic performance by everyone involved.

I was at the press center at 6.30:10 a.m. and picked up my accreditation. I immediately met a very friendly and helpful person from the organizer upsolut, who paved the way for me to the DRK. This was important so that I could get on a boat to get slightly different pictures of swimming. I was back home at XNUMX a.m., uploaded my first pictures, had breakfast and caught up on some sleep 🙂 I was back on the track for the professionals' afternoon start and was so exhausted after crossing the finish line that I almost missed the award ceremony.

A very varied and fast sport that I would like to photograph again. This time it was the first time for me and I experimented with different settings. But the weather was so different and changeable that I didn't get many good pictures. I only uploaded about 50 pictures from that day to the agency. I'll show you my favorite pictures now.
