The Machwitz on the corner between Schanzenstrasse and Altonaer Strasse opposite Schanzenpark was once one of the more pleasant pubs in Hamburg. Unfortunately it was closed some time ago. Now the usual glass buildings are to be built on the site. The associated buzzword is gentrification – I find this development terrible!
By the way, for this picture I boosted the few megapixels of the iPhone camera using the “Panorama” software. The picture above is actually two pictures that are effortlessly combined into one picture on the iPhone – and therefore have more megapixels.

That's right, that was really beautiful. I find it strange to find this picture here today, after all these years. Friends of mine made music there "in what felt like their last life". And now the glass cases are already there.
